Insane 1of1 sample pair of lambskin leather pants from the spring-summer 2014 collection by Hedi Slimane.
The pants feature the signature “Baby Cat” cheetah design seen on other SLP pieces as well, but on this pair, the design isn’t printed onto the pants—it’s entirely brought to life with super small metal studs, each applied by hand. The detailing continues across the leather and even inside the pockets, with studs worked into quite literally every part of the garment. Needless to say that these weight a lot.
Despite the extreme amount of studs the pants are surprisingly comfortable to wear. Even with the reverse attachments of the studs on the inside, they’re so neatly attached that you can't feel any scratching against skin. They also catch the light from every angle, sparkling almost like glitter across the leather and giving the entire cheetah pattern an insane sparkling effect.
It seems these never saw an official release and is believed to be one of a kind. Our guess is that the sheer amount of time and labor needed to apply every single stud made it too impractical for production. Truly couture level stuff.
